Programme Information
Graduates will develop a comprehensive understanding of the theories, skills and practice of supervision. Graduates will have an opportunity to integrate theory and practice through the completion of a practicum placement within a counselling/social service setting. Graduates could also exit with a Graduate Certificate in Supervision upon successful completion of the required modules within the programme.

Content includes: Core concepts of supervision, models and frameworks of supervision, supervision theories and critical issues, practice issues in supervision, management and organisational issues in supervision, research project, and the completion of a professional supervision practicum.

Entry Requirements
IELTS a score of 6.0 or above, with at least 5.5. in the written band, or TOEFL a score of 550 or above.
Programme Entry Criteria
1.1. Applicants must have gained an undergraduate degree or professional qualification, and must have experience in the social services or health sector. 1.2. In exceptional circumstances, applicants who do not have a degree or qualification as specified in clause 1.1 may be granted entry by the Head of School or designated equivalent, or authorised nominee, on the basis of substantial experience in a supervisory role in the social services or health sector. 1.3. Where there are more applications than the number of places available, selection will be determined on the basis of the criteria in clauses 1.1 and 1.2 of these regulations, and taking into account whether candidates are " currently employed in the social services or health sector, and " currently receiving professional supervision of their own practice, and " currently supervising or intending to supervise others.
